New to yoga? New to Yoga studio 8?

More than anything we want you to feel welcome and comfortable at Yoga studio 8. It can be scary to walk into your first yoga class or new surroundings. We know, we did it too! Enter with an open and curious mind, ready to have your own fresh experience. That will tell you more than anything.

Yoga in its truest form is an internal practice. There are no points to tally up, no one to judge your performance or compete with you, no goals to achieve. You can be any age, size, or in any physical condition. The practices are so diverse and easily modified.

Yoga is a science, it does not interfere with your personal religious beliefs. More often than not it enhances your spiritual awareness, deepening your sense of connection to your specific views. Yoga studio 8 is void of any religious preferences.

Leave your ego behind. Self judgment, stories you may have about your body, and unpleasant yoga experiences, can all stay with your shoes at the door. A sense of wonder will serve you far better!

If you are coming for the first time arrive 15 minutes early. It allows the time to fill out a brief Release Form, a chance to familiarize your self with the space, and the opportunity to start absorbing the quiet environment. Reading the below guidelines will eliminate some guessing. Don’t hesitate to ask for what you need and do let your instructor know about any injuries, chronic ailments or medical conditions you may have.

Above all else, let this be a little oasis. Relax and enjoy yourself!

Please wipe down any studio mats you may use. Thank you.
